A licence is sold per seat on the DNA Technology marketplace. One seat is one device. Buy as many seats as you have machines. When you sign in from a device, it takes a seat.

One seat is one device
The app binds the seat to the machine it runs on. Installing on a second device and signing in shows which devices hold seats.

Replaced a computer? Sign in on the new one and choose Move the licence here. Moves are unlimited in the first 30 days after purchase, then 3 per rolling 30 days.

Live connectors

Active Directory over LDAPS and Entra ID through Microsoft Graph. Scan the live directory instead of an export, and take portable snapshots of it.

Questions people ask before buying

Do I need an account to download?

No. The download is free and needs no account. You need a DNA Technology account to start the trial or to buy, and you sign in from inside the app.

Where do I see the price?

On the marketplace product page. Prices and tiers are set there and shown before you pay. Payment goes through the marketplace; this site never sees your card.

Does the app send my directory data anywhere?

No. Scans, snapshots and reports stay on your machine. When you sign in or the app refreshes its licence, it sends hashed device identifiers, the hostname, the app version and your account id to the licence service, and nothing else. See the privacy page.

What happens when a subscription ends?

The app returns to the sign in screen at its next licence check. Your files and reports stay where they are. Sign in again after renewing.

Can I keep using it offline?

Yes, and you can make it never connect at all. Choose manual delivery on the licence screen: you download the signed licence file from your account on any machine, copy it across and import it, and the app opens no connection ever. In automatic delivery it collects a fresh file once per billing period. Either way the file stays valid for 30 days past the period you paid for.
