Use of the IAM X-ray software is governed by the IAM X-ray software licence terms. Your DNA Technology account, marketplace orders, subscriptions, renewals, refunds and sales representatives are governed by the DNA Technology terms of service. Personal information is handled as described on the IAM X-ray privacy page and in the DNA Technology privacy policy.
In short: a licence is per seat, one seat is one device, the DNA Technology account is the licence holder, the free trial is 15 days of the whole product, and scan data never leaves your machine.
IAM X-ray, the IAM X-ray logo, DNA Technology and the DNA Technology logo are trademarks of DNA Technology. You may not use them without our written permission, except to refer to the product by name.
Microsoft, Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra and Microsoft Graph are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Google Cloud is a trademark of Google LLC. Okta is a trademark of Okta, Inc. CyberArk is a trademark of CyberArk Software Ltd. Have I Been Pwned is a trademark of Superlative Enterprises Pty Ltd. BloodHound is a trademark of SpecterOps, Inc. IAM X-ray reads from these products with the credentials you supply; naming them describes compatibility, nothing more.
IAM X-ray is proprietary software. It includes open source components, each used under its own licence. The main components are:

The Python runtime is used under the Python Software Foundation License. Components under the LGPL are used as unmodified libraries; on request to legal@dnatechnology.ca we will tell you the exact versions bundled in a given build so you can obtain their source from the projects. The Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces used on this site are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Assessment checks reference the CIS Microsoft 365 Foundations Benchmark, Microsoft's published guidance and Google Cloud's published guidance. Those references are the property of their publishers and are quoted for identification only.
If you find a security problem in the IAM X-ray software, this website, the download files or the licence service, tell us at security@dnatechnology.ca. Please include the version, the steps to reproduce, and what you think the impact is. We acknowledge reports within 3 business days, keep you informed while we work on a fix, and credit you in the release notes if you wish.
We ask that you give us reasonable time to fix the problem before publishing, that you do not access other people's data or licences while testing, and that you do not run tests against the licence service beyond what is needed to demonstrate the issue. Testing against your own installation and your own directories is always fine. We will not take legal action against research carried out in good faith under these conditions.
Downloads can be verified: every release ships a SHA-256 checksum next to the file, and the self update mechanism refuses any build whose signed manifest or hash does not verify.
